Google brings flood alerts to India

Google has announced today that the company is bringing flood alerts feature to India through Google Public Alerts.

According to Google, the company will be using the data provided by Central Water Commission (CWC) to find flood alerts and river level information across 170 areas where CWC has active stations.

Users will be able to check these alerts through Google web search, Google Now Cards, Google Maps, as well as Public Alerts homepage.
