Here are the top Google searches in India from 2015

Similar to networks such as Twitter and Facebook, who recently released their most discussed things on respective platforms, Google is out with its yearly report summarizing the things that people searched most globally, as well as India specifically.

Google has categorized its searches into different categories such as most searched searches and trending searches, including most searched people, trending movies, most searched Bollywood actors – both male and female, as well as sportspersons and mobile devices.

For most searched things in 2015, similar to Twitter, e-commerce giant Flipkart tops the list followed by IRCTC, then the State Bank of India.

Next to most searched things are most trending searches from 2015, which include ICC Cricket World Cup 2015, followed by Tamil movie Bahubali, and then Hindi movie Bajrangi Bhaijaan, including Indian Premier League (IPL).

While for most searched people on Google in 2015 were, Sunny Leone and Salman Khan along with A.P.J Abdul Kalam who passed away on July 27th this year. Also, Prime Minister Narendra Modi as 10th most searched person in the country.

Most searched sportsmen list mostly include Indian cricketers such as Virat Kohli, Sachin Tendulkar, as well as Yuvraj Singh, including soccer players like Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

But for most searched mobile devices, the list is surprisingly topped by Yu Yureka, with Apple iPhone 6s ranking second, followed by Lenovo K3 Note, then Lenovo A7000. Here goes the mobile devices list.
