Facebook has announced that the company is rolling out its Instant Articles for Android users globally, allowing people to read news articles that load instantly inside the Facebook app rather than loading a separate webpage from the app.
By loading articles within the app, Instant Articles significantly reduce load times, increasing share and engagement rates across the social network. As well as providing a better user experience for users in markets such as India where internet speeds are of major concern.
More than 350 publishers are already serving Instant Articles on the platform.
Additionally, Instant Articles feature was launched last November in India with major publishers on board such as – India Times, NDTV, India Today, Scoop Whoop, The Quint, and more.
Here is Facebook’s take on Android with Instant Articles,
Android is designed to be fast, so articles load quickly on Android and thus can be quickly read.
