Similar to WhatsApp, now you can save video messages in Skype

Latest update to Skype (version 6.11) for Android comes with several new features such as marking messages as read, muting chat notifications, and an option for saving video messages.

In addition to that, several enhancements has been made inside Skype for searching conversations, contacts, and group names.

Similar to WhatsApp, you will now be able to save video messages to your device by tapping on the video message to save it to your gallery.

Additionally, a long tap on your contact name or recent chats would bring up new options to delete, mark messages as read, or mute chat notifications. Along with the ability to search conversations, contacts, or group names.

Other features included in Skype 6.11 are, the ability to share content such as photos from your device to groups, and an option to forward Mojis – short video clips, to another friend or group easily.

According to the blog post from Skype, features added to this updated are long requested by users. Thus, the company listening to user feedback.

Microsoft has also been focusing more on its messaging platform with smaller but more frequent additions such as adding support for Bollywood Mojis & emoticons, as well as Skype share buttons for web allowing users to express and share content to Skype easily.
