Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg to visit India this month

Mark Zuckerberg, through a Facebook post today announced that he will be visiting to India on October 28th to host next Townhall Q&A in Delhi.

Townhall Q&A will be held at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi and will be live on October 28 at 12pm IST (Indian Standard Time).

You can ask your questions through comments on the Facebook post by Mark Zuckerberg and Like questions to up vote. Mark Zuckerberg will be answering selected up voted questions during the Townhall Q&A.

With the recent visit of Prime Minister Modi to the silicon valley and attending previous Facebook Townhall Q&A, and Mark Zuckerberg putting tri–colour overlay on profile picture is clearly a sign of Facebook trying to strengthen the ties with the government and India itself as Facebook is seeing big opportunity in the country for Internet.org.

But Internet.org project was recently surrounded by lot of controversy in India, as according to the critics it violates Net Neutrality principles which lead to major tech and e–commerce companies opting out of the project.

Mark Zuckerberg’s visit to India would be really interesting to discuss and address social issues. Lets see if we will get any announcements with regard to Facebook’s plans in the country.

You can watch the live video of this event on October 28 at 12pm IST from ITT Delhi.
