Disney is set the release the animated classic written by Rudyard Kipling, The Jungle Book, trailer of the film was initially launched at D23 conference last month which did catch a lot of attention at the event, and now Disney making the trailer available online for larger audience.
The Jungle Book was written by Rudyard Kipling in 1894. The story evolve around the boy Mowgli who was raised by wolves namely Baloo (the bear) and Bagheera (black panther) in the Indian jungle. Kipling put everything into The Jungle Book stories that he heard or dreamed about during his days is India about the Indian jungle.
This film is being directed by Jon Favreau who directed Iron Man and Iron Man 2 previously, and in the lead roles Neel Sethi (new comer) as Mowgli, Idris Elba as Shere Khan, Scarlett Johansson as Kaa, Bill Murray as Baloo, and Ben Kingsley as Bagheera.
Jon Favreau mentioned that technological advancements in filmmaking from the last five decades helped to bring and develop this film on this level. He also said that finding the balance between the iconic, mythic power of Kipling and all the images I loved growing up with from the animated feature, it was how do you combine those things, he added most importantly, how do you use today’s technology to take it to a different place that the film that already exists, how do you build upon that legacy.
The Jungle Book is set to release in April, 2016. Here is the first trailer released by Disney, for now.
